Lyrics
His Grace Alone
© 2024 by Jeff Platts
You remind me of the Pharisees with all your little rules,
Rules your leaders made up to control us stubborn mules,
Rules your teachers taught you, in your seminary schools,
Sometimes you may fool some of us, but sometimes we ain’t fooled,
Don’t need your rules excludin’ me, Don’t need your rules approvin’ me,
Don’t need your rules confusin’ me, Don’t need your rules to be set free,
His Grace alone is all I need, The Love of Jesus is what saved me,
The blood of Christ was shed for me, His Grace alone is all I need,
You’re preachin’ Grace alone, with which I totally agree,
But you practice something different, that’s called hypocracy,
You’re tellin’ me it’s biblical, but I beg to disagree,
I ain’t buyin what you’re sayin’, cause I think you’re playin’ me,
Don’t need your rules selectin’ me, Don’t need your rules protectin’ me,
Don’t need your rules rejectin’ me, Don’t need your rules to be set free,
His Grace alone is all I need, The Love of Jesus is what saved me,
The blood of Christ was shed for me, His Grace alone is all I need,
I’m sure that you all mean well, I would not think otherwise,
But ponder what your doin’, ‘cause what if some of it is lies?
What if you’re leading and you’re teaching with blinders on your eyes?
When you stand before The Father, will He say you compromised?
Don’t need your rules comparin’ me, Don’t need your rules ensarin’ me,
Don’t need your rules disparin’me, Don’t need your rules to be set free,
His Grace alone is all I need, The Love of Jesus is what saved me,
The blood of Christ was shed for me, His Grace alone is all I need,
His Grace alone is all I need, His Grace Alone is all I need.
