Lyrics
Blessed Are The Ones
© 2024 by Jeff Platts
Chorus
Blessed are the ones who have not touched God yet still believe,
Blessed are the ones who have not seen God and yet they still believe,
Blessed are the ones who persevere through trials, temptations, doubts and fears,
Blessed are the ones who love, their neighbor and God above,
VERSE 1
There was a God-fearing man who lost everything he had,
He lost his prosperity, and then his entire family,
And after he’d lost his love and wealth, Satan came along and took his health,
Yet he never lost belief, In spite of despair and grief,
Chorus
Blessed are the ones who have not touched God yet still believe,
Blessed are the ones who have not seen God and yet they still believe,
Blessed are the ones who persevere through trials, temptations, doubts and fears,
Blessed are the ones who love, their neighbor and God above,
VERSE 2
There once was a harmless boy, who fell into treachery,
His own brothers hated him, and they sold him into slavery,
But God elevated him to save the world from starvation and the grave,
So, God took his loss and pain, and reshaped them into gain,
Chorus
Blessed are the ones who have not touched God yet still believe,
Blessed are the ones who have not seen God and yet they still believe,
Blessed are the ones who persevere through trials, temptations, doubts and fears,
Blessed are the ones who love, their neighbor and God above,
VERSE 3
There once lived a righteous man, who obeyed all of God’s commands,
Even the very hardest one, when God told him “sacrifice your son”,
But God stopped him just before the deed, said I’ll build a nation from his seed,
So God took his misery and changed it to ecstasy,
Chorus
Blessed are the ones who have not touched God yet still believe,
Blessed are the ones who have not seen God and yet they still believe,
Blessed are the ones who persevere through trials, temptations, doubts and fears,
Blessed are the ones who love, their neighbor and God above,
Blessed are the ones who love, even when push comes to shove,
